Learning

LEAD is well known for its experiential approach to training and learning, and its use of systems thinking to connect diverse disciplines and stakeholders on important development issues. As such, we have taken a systematic approach to developing the ITS programme and we hope that you will find it a dynamic, engaging and inspiring experience.

Team activity

The ITS programme centres around your learning journey with over 130 LEAD Fellows and Associates in search of knowledge and understanding around climate change challenges, and how we as leaders can address them. Each session or activity is designed to build on what went before, so that step-by-step you will acquire the information and skills required to make sense of complex local scenarios, and in particular, to identify ways of strengthening leadership on climate change issues.

We don’t expect you all to follow the route exactly - no two people will have the same journey. Some of you will stop off on the way and have a really interesting conversation with another participant or perhaps a local stakeholder. As a result of that conversation you might make some unexpected connections, a light bulb will go on in your head, and you may begin to see things differently…
